Threads of Love is a sewing ministry open to anyone who loves to share their gifts. There are many forms and projects that we work on.
Sewing: make burial gowns for babies who are stillborn or late miscarried, and memory envelopes.
Hand-Sewing: make sock dolls for the children in the emergency rooms; dresses & shorts for our Haiti children; and sheets for the Merciful HELP Center's Gabriel Pantry
Crocheting: make prayer shawls for mothers who have lost their babies; baby prayer shawls as a remembrance for the mothers; hats for cancer patients; neck scarves for the poor; and dishcloths for homeless ladies for Catholic Charities
Quilting: done for not only the sick of our parish but also lap quilts for the residents in the senior care homes.
Cutting kits out for sewers to make the above items.
We make these items as gifts for the marginalized and least of our brothers and sisters in accordance with Jesus' command in the Mission Statement of our Matthew 25 Center. New members are welcome to join at any time. See the bulletin and calendar for upcoming dates.
